Day 1: Arrival in Ayodhya

First things first, jump on a train or catch a flight to one of the nearby airports in Lucknow or Gorakhpur and make your way to Ayodhya. Once you've arrived, check into your hotel: Take a deep breath. Relax. Let the spiritual vibes settle in.
Now, the time for some soul-searching. Go straight to the Ram Janmabhoomi, the birthplace of Lord Rama. The place is as holy as it gets! Get ready to feel the gravity of centuries of devotion. After you're done taking in the divine energy, make your way to Hanuman Garhi, where you will come across a large statue of Lord Hanuman who keeps an eye on the city. Believe or not, the views are as magnificent as the statue itself.
As the day draws to a close, go to the Saryu River for the evening Aarti - a collected and almost cinematic moment where you can feel every note of the chants align with the universe. If you are up for it, take a walk along the ghats. There's always something magical in the air:
• The lively local markets
• The scent of incense wafting through
• The sweet treats tempting you at every corner
Get ready for a fusion of spirituality, history, and some good ol' shopping!
Overnight stay in Ayodhya.

Day 2: More Temples, More History, More Vibes!

Get ready for round two of Ayodhya magic! Hang tight because today's all about going deep into the rich spiritual history of this ancient city. Begin your journey with Kanak Bhawan – a temple that's really dripping in gold and devoted to none other than Mata Sita herself. It feels like going into a tall tale, aside from the fact tale it involves divine energy and picturesque architecture.
Next stop: Nageshwarnath Temple, where Lord Rama’s son (yes, his son!) decided to build a tribute to Shiva. Pretty impressive, right? After that, swing by Treta Ke Thakur – where the big yagna was performed by Lord Rama. No biggie, just a monumental moment in history.
For some peace and quiet (and killer views), take a little trek up Mani Parvat, a small hill that gives you a panoramic view of the city. It's perfect for that spiritual selfie.
Now, let's go a bit deeper into the feels – Guptar Ghat is where Lord Rama is believed to have taken his final bath before he left Earth. It's calm and full of history. Still got some energy? Move toward Faizabad, which is just 12 km away, where Nawabi history awaits. Visit Gulab Bari and Bahu Begum ka Maqbara for a taste of royal Mughal vibes.
By now, your brain's buzzing with history and your heart's full of peace. Time to go back to your hotel in Ayodhya for a well-deserved night of rest and reflection.
Sweet dreams, temple-hopper: Overnight stay in Ayodhya!

Day 3: From Ayodhya to Chappiya to Varanasi – The Ultimate Journey

Rise early today because it's time to sling your hook! First stop: Chappiya. It is a peaceful little village where the Swaminarayan Temple waits for you. It's the perfect place to get some tranquility before you travel again.
Once you're feeling spiritually refreshed, it's on to Varanasi! A 4-5 hour drive that's totally worth it. When you reach, get ready for a sensational overload at Dashashwamedh Ghat. The Ganga Aarti here is near the same level of rare and magical. Picture this:
• The air is filled with the vibration of chants
• The glow of lamps dancing on the river
• The whole lot of wow
It’s like Varanasi’s spiritual charm grabs you by the soul and doesn’t let go.
Check into your Varanasi stay, because after today’s whistle-stop, you're going to need some rest to dream about those floating lamps.

Day 4: Varanasi – Rise, Shine, and Explore!

Start your day like a true Varanasi local: with an early morning boat ride on the Ganges. As the sun rises, you will witness the city come to life with the river's calm reflecting the hustle of daily rituals. It’s peaceful, spiritual, and the perfect way to ease into the day.
Next, go to the iconic place: Kashi Vishwanath Temple! It is one of India's holiest spots devoted to Lord Shiva. Pro Tip: go early to avoid the selfie-snapping crowds. In due course, go to Annapurna Temple, the goddess who keeps everyone well-fed (a popular stop if you are already thinking about breakfast). Then, go to Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, the place where wishes get granted and obstacles vanish. Need a little more history? Visit Tulsi Manas Mandir, where the epic Ramcharitmanas was born – it’s like the place where legends were written.
For a bit of academic exploration, walk around Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and swing by its museum. You'll get a quick crash course in India's rich culture and history.
When the sun starts to dip, walk into Varanasi's iconic markets. Get lost in the maze of narrow lanes, shop for some silk, and treat yourself to local delicacies. Kachori sabzi and jalebi. Don't forget to eat the ultimate Banarasi paan.
Time to rest up for another full day of magic tomorrow.

Day 5: Sarnath – Buddha's First Sermon and Some Peaceful Vibes

After a fulfilling breakfast, take a quick 10 Km drive to Sarnath! It is a place where Lord Buddha delivered his very first sermon. Visit the serene Dhamek Stupa, and let the history and calmness of the place sink in. Next up, check out Mulagandha Kuti Vihar – a modern Buddhist temple set in peaceful gardens and perfect for a little zen moment.
Don't miss the Sarnath Museum, where you'll find the popular Lion Capital of Ashoka - a symbol of India's spirit. And undoubtedly, take a look at the Ashoka pillar, a piece of history from the period of Emperor Ashoka.
Once you’re done soaking in the serenity, head back to Varanasi for some free time. Chill out, revisit the ghats, or grab any last-minute souvenirs.

After taking up the last bits of Varanasi's charm, move toward the airport or train station and say goodbye to this magical city. Safe travels.
